In memory of Pamela Jean Whittaker

PJWThe Parlour mourns the loss of one of the co-founders of the company. Pamela Jean Whittaker (nee Atkinson) passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, September 27, 2010 at the age of 59 years.

A passionate, sensitive, and generous person, Pam never forgot a birthday or anniversary, and always arrived at a loved one’s home bearing food and gifts.  Pam was highly  organized, and heavily involved in growing the store for more than 25 years. She especially loved planning parties and special events for friends, family, and employees. She volunteered countless hours and organized many events with the Catholic Women’s League, and was elected to many CWL leadership roles.  Pam also loved animals, especially her cats.

She is survived by her mother, Phyllis Jean Atkinson; sister Penny Teed (Sanford); daughter Rhonda Whittaker (Troy McInnis); twin sons, Peter Whittaker and David Whittaker; friend and former husband, Ron Whittaker. She was a doting “Nana Pam” to grandsons Logan and Tanner Whittaker (sons of David Whittaker and Dana Kenny).

She was predeceased by her father, Hedley Evans “Chic” Atkinson.

Resting at Tuttle Brothers Funeral Home on Friday October 1, 2010 from 4:00pm – 7:00pm.

The funeral service will be held at Tuttle Brothers Memorial Chapel on Saturday October 2, 2010 at 1:00 pm.

In Pam’s memory, donations made to The Friends of The Moncton Hospital, The Moncton SPCA or the memorial of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
