Welcome to the very first installment of The Parlour Music Blog!

As the new head of the music dept, I must admit I have a very different view of things from most employees that have been here over the year. Being the ripe young age of 43 I am able to boast of being a customer for 27 years. I attended both the old K-Mart Plaza location, the Riverview Mall outlet, and it’s current location from the age of 16. Music gear, L.P.’s, cassettes that’s how it started.

I also come from a vantage point of visiting probably hendreds of different pawn and second hand shops in different countries over the last 12 or so yeards as a touring musician.Whenever I would come off the road I would head straight to The Parlour to see what was new. The Parlour always had a far more polished and friendly retail atmosphere compared to any other store of it’s kind.

These blogs are going to be fun and informative. interviews with some of the more accomplished Moncton area musicians as well as upcommers. Gear features, tips, and who knows what may pop up on here. on behalf of the music staff here, welcome to our blog space.
